Coir fibre – twisted
Twisted fibre, commonly known as FMT consist of coir fibres which are mechanically twisted and curled and made in to coils of rope of various sizes and weights as per customer needs. Twisted fibre is primarily used in the manufacture of coir mattresses, furniture cushioning, rubberized coir blocks, carpet underlays, drainage pipe insulation and erosion control. A unique feature of twisted fibre which make them suitable for these applications is the ability of the fibre to retain “spring” even effect after uncurling.
